How do I play Sudoku?
Fill each row, column, and 3 × 3 box with the numbers 1 through 9, without repeating a number. Select a square, then choose a number. Use Notes to jot down possibilities, Hint when you need a nudge, or Undo to take back a move.
How do I continue a saved game?
On the main menu, choose the difficulty you were playing, then select Resume Game. Your in-progress puzzle is saved automatically as you play. Each difficulty has its own saved game.
What’s included for free?
You can play 10 puzzles at each of the three difficulty levels. After that, you can start those rounds over, or unlock Unlimited Rounds for fresh, generated puzzles at every difficulty.
Is Unlimited Rounds a subscription?
No. Unlimited Rounds is a one-time in-app purchase, handled by Apple. The price for your region is shown in the app before you buy.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Store from the main menu and select Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you used for the original purchase, and make sure you’re connected to the internet. If the unlock is still missing, email us with your device and app version. Please don’t send payment card details or passwords.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Playing puzzles, taking notes, and saving progress work on your device without an internet connection. Purchases, restoring purchases, and iCloud syncing need a connection.
How does syncing between devices work?
Sudoku uses iCloud to sync settings, progress, and saved games when iCloud is available. Sign in to the same iCloud account on your devices and allow time for changes to arrive. Avoid playing the same saved puzzle on two devices at once: the latest change is the one that’s kept.
Can I change the colors or turn off assistance?
Open Settings to choose Light, Dark, or System appearance, customize board colors, and adjust assistance such as error checking and highlighting. Light and dark appearances keep separate color choices. Reset Colors restores the default palette.
What devices are supported?
The native app is available for iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 or later, and Mac with macOS 26 or later. On Mac, you can use the number keys and arrow keys to play, N for notes, H for a hint, and Command–Z to undo.
How can I request a refund?
Apple handles App Store payments and refunds. Visit Apple’s Report a Problem page to view your purchases and request a refund.
